Singer-Songwriter James Jackson, based in Liverpool, drives to create a sense of connection and comfort in an age of utter division.
He developed his honest and empathetic songwriting style in his early teens absorbing the records of Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell and Damien Rice. What resulted from this was a truly raw and vulnerable performance style – reminiscent to that of Jeff Buckley Live at Sin-é.
At just 18 years old, James has already shown his eagerness to establish a place in the creative industries. Through his continued involvement with BBC Introducing, experiences such as Highest Point Festival and a Live Session at Media City, he has developed a confident and professional work ethic – similar to that of individuals twice his age.
Continuing his study of music at LIPA, James is currently developing a new set of works and is planning to release a live EP at the end of 2021.
